Village Historians are appointed by the Mayor of the Village of Garden City and are a volunteer position.
The Historians are responsible for collecting, preserving and making available material relating to the Village's history: photographs, correspondence, newspaper files and records of community activities. In addition to historic preservation, the Village Historians provide information to interested residents and those doing research such as genealogists and authors of historical books and articles. The Historians are members of the Garden City Historical Society.
Village Co-Historians William Bellmer and Patricia Siler welcome any photos, pamphlets, books and papers relating to any aspect of Garden City for the Village Archives.
