Traffic Alert: Trump Rally

It is anticipated that there may be periodic road closures and detours all day in the area of the Nassau County Coliseum, particularly on Hempstead Turnpike, Earle Ovington Blvd, Quentin Roosevelt Blvd, Oak Street, Meadowbrook Parkway and Charles Lindbergh Blvd.

As a result of the rally and possible street closures, the Department is expecting extra traffic and possible delays on Clinton Road, Commercial Avenue, and Stewart Avenue in Garden City as well as Stewart Avenue and Merrick Avenue in Uniondale.

The Department will also be monitoring Meadow Street, Washington Avenue, Old Country Road, and other area streets for possible related traffic issues.
