The Garden City Fire Department is a combination of volunteer and paid firefighters. Three strategically placed fire stations are maintained on a 24 hour basis.

   Fire Headquarters is located at the west end of Village Hall.
Station No. 2 at Edgemere Road & Stewart Avenue; Station No. 3 at St. James North at Clinton Road.

   Periodic inspections of all the buildings of public or semipublic nature are made for the purpose of eliminating or reducing fire hazards.

   Annually in October, the Fire Department hosts an Open House - Fire Prevention Day Program. The event is open to all residents.
