This office is located on the second floor of Village Hall. Any action contemplated relating to residential and/or commercial property should be reviewed with the Building Department to determine what regulations, if any, are applicable, and whether a permit, inspection, or prior approval is required.
The Department's activities cover:
  • New Buildings
  • Additions
  • Alterations
    (Interior or Exterior)
  • Accessory Structures
    (fences, sheds, decks, central air conditioning, etc.)
  • Plan Review and Inspections
  • Issuance of Permits and Certificates of Occupancy
  • Applications for Variances, Special Use Permits, Site Plan Approval and Architectural Design Review Board
  • Zoning
  • Signs
While Contractors normally file for the required permits, it is the owners responsibility to ensure that the neccessary permits and approvals are obtained.
